Sometimes I Marvel when I think
of the hours slinking by
as Sonic the Hedgehog
fills the screen at my feet.
live a little more I think
and blink a second
while the drink of drugs slithers into my veins
Hedgehog climbs again and again
There are trees and skies and birds outside
but the noise of coins are all I find interesting or soothing
using drugs is too intrusive,
nature tends to be elusive
Silly hog, silly hog.
an hour or two can signal new
needs for me and mine
creeping up my spine
of the only nature I know
the slow echo of coins joins the pain.
I look around the room I'm in
I see a dish or two and grin
How a messy life can skin you when
your pets are Sonic and drugs.
Some weary types of things I'd say
and wish the merry day away
Inject again and all I say
is play again, play again
